Centenary or Methodist Epis. (Union)
Name/History Centenary--misspelled "Centenery" in the DAR transcription--is the same thing as the Methodist Epis. (M/E) cemetery (the M/E name derived from the 1998 plat book.) The cemetery is named after the Methodist church built in 1886, discontinued in 1979, and dismantled in 1989. The cemetery is plotted on the 1876, 1898, and 1916 plat books as well as the Missouri General Highway Map; while the church is plotted on these maps excepting, of course, the 1876 plat which shows the cemetery alone.
