George W. Hudson, Guardian Bond for
Sanford F., George A., and Charles A. Rankin, minors
06 December 1875

We George W. Hudson as principal and Joshua Hudson & James F. Erwin as securities are held and firmly bound unto the State [of] Missouri in the sum of one hundred dollars for the payment of which we bind ourselves and our heirs:

Upon the condition that whereas the said George W. Hudson has been appointed by the Probate & Common Pleas Court of Perry County Missouri Guardian of the persons and Curator of the Estates of Sandford F. Rankin, George A. Rankin and Charles A. Rankin of said County, minors:

Now if the said George W. Hudson shall faithfully discharge his duties as said Guardian & Curator according to law then this Bond to be void:

Otherwise to remain in full force.

In testimony whereof we have thereto set our hands and affixed our seals at Perryville in said County this 6th day of December A. D. 1875.

The Rankin Family History Project began in 1997 with a simple 3 generation family chart.  When our grandmother found out we were researching our family tree, she loaned us her copy of Maryland Catholics on the Frontier by Timothy J. O'Rourke which helped us discover our St. Louis & Perry County roots.  We are also doing research in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
