Administrative Bond

Know all men by these presents that we Barbara Hutchins, John M. Duvall and Mark Manning, Senior are held and firmly bound, to the State of Missouri, in the sum of Five Hundred dollars to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, jointly and severaly [sic] our heirs Executors and administrators firmly by these presents, as witness our hands and our Seals, this twenty-Seventh day of January Eighteen hundred and thirty-four.--

The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Barbara Hutchins administrator of all and singular the goods and chattles, rights and credits which were of James Hutchins deceased, do make or cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and singular the good chattles lands tenements rights and credits of the said deceased which have come to the hands possessions or knowledge of he the said Barbara Hutchins or in to the said hands or possession of any person for her and the same so made do return and exhibit in the office of the clerk of the county court for the county of Perry within such time and in such manner as is or may be prescribed by law, and all and singular the monies, goods and chattels, lands and tenements rights and credits of the deceased accruing from or arising out of his estate, which shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of the said Barbara Hutchins, shall well and truly administer according to law, and pay the debts of the deceased as far as her assets will extend and the law direct and make true accounts of her said administration and make due and proper settlements thereof from time to time according to law or the order sentence or decree of any court having competent jurisdiction and shall moreover, well and truly do and perform all other matters and things touching the said administration, as are or shall be provided by law, or enjoined on her by the order sentence or decree of any court having competent jurisdiction, then this obligation to be void and of no effect otherwise to remain in full force and effect.

Letters of Administration

The State of Missouri: To all persons to whom these presents Shall come, Greeting:

Know ye, that whereas James Hutchins late of Perry County deceased, died intestate, as it said having at his property within the state aforesaid wherefore administration of all the goods, chattels lands, tenements rights and credits of the deceased is hereby granted and committed unto Barbary Hutchins she the said Barbara having complied with the requisites of the Law in such case made and provided.
