Last Will and Testament of Florentine Feltz

In the name of God, Amen. Florentine Feltz of lawful age and of sound and disposing mind do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:

First, It is my will and desire that my death all my just debts and funeral expence [sic] be fully paid,

Second, I will and bequeath unto my son Augustus Feltz all personal property excepting one gray mare and also all of my Real Estate Situate in Township (36) thirty-six Perry County, Missouri to have and to hold to him, the said Augustus Feltz, his heirs and assigns for ever.

3th, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to my oldest Lorenze Feltz one hundred dollars to be paid twelve months after my death without interest.

4th, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to the heirs of Emil Feltz one hundred dollars to remain in the hands of the said Augustus Feltz without interest until said heirs become of age.

5, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to my son Anton Feltz one hundred dollars twelve months after my death without interest.

6, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to my daughter Josephine Feltz one hundred dollars without interest to be paid twelve months after death.

7, I also give and bequeath to my son Alfonzo Feltz one gray mare which he is to keep and not to dispose of in any way without the consent of my son Augustus Feltz. I also want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to the said Alfonze Feltz one hundred dollars without interest said money to be paid when the said Alfonzo Feltz becomes of age.

8, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to my daughter Philomine Feltz one hundred dollars said money is to remain in the hands of the said Augustus Feltz without interest until the said Philomine Feltz becomes of age.

9, I want the said Augustus Feltz to pay to my daughter Caroline Feltz one hundred dollars without interest said money is to remain in the hands of the said Augustus Feltz until the said Caroline Feltz becomes of age.

10, I also want the said Augustus Feltz to pay sixty dollars to St. Mary’s Seminary.

I hereby appoint John Hof my sole executor of this my last will and Testament. I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this sixth day of September A. D. 1876.

Signed and declared by the above named Florentine Feltz to be his last Will and Testament in his presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

In vacation of the Probate Court

Be it remembered that on the 7th day of August 1877 personally apperared before the undersigned James Burgee, Clerk of the Probate Court of the County and state aforesaid, John Hof and Thomas J. Moore, the subscribing witnesses to the annexed will of Florentine Feltz and being by me first duly sworn depose and say that the said Florentine Feltz the testator subscribed the same in their presence and published said will or instrument of writing as his last Will, that he the said testator was at the time of publishing this will of sound mind and more than twenty-one years of age, and that they the said deponents attested the said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in their presence of said testator.

In witness whereof, I, James Burgee, Clerk of the Probate Court of the County of Perry & State of Missouri aforesaid have hereunto subscribed my name & affixed the seal of said Court at office in the County aforesaid the 7th day of August 1877.

Certificate of Probate

In the Probate Court of Perry County, Missouri, I, James Burgee, Clerk of the Probate Court of Perry County, Missouri, having examined the foregoing instrument purporting to be he Last Will and Testament of Florentine Feltz deeased & signed by said Florentine Feltz deceased, late of Perry County, Missouri, and having heard the Testimony of John Hof, and Thomas J. Moore, subscribing witnesses thereto in relation to the execution of the same do declare and adjudge said instrument to be the last will and testament of said Florentine Feltz deceased and the same is therefore admitted to Probate.

On testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at office the 7th day of August 1877.
