Obituary of Margaret (Ambrose) DeLancey (1873-1906)

Margaret Ambrose DeLancey, wife of John C. DeLancey, died at her home near Plumville, Friday morning, December 14, 1906. Mrs. DeLancey was born near Kittanning, Pa., May 15, 1873 and was, therefore, aged 33 yrs., 6 mos. and 29 days at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, John C. DeLancey, and three children, her father, J. R. Ambrose, five brothers, T. H. Ambrose, B. F. Ambrose, G. W. Ambrose, Dr. S. E. Ambrose, James G. Ambrose and one sister, Mrs. G. L. Stewart.

Mrs. DeLancey joined the Rural Valley Presbyterian Church when a girl fourteen years of age and, after removing to Plumville, had her membership transferred to the Plumville Presbyterian Church, of which church she was a member at the time of her death.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday by her pastor, Rev. Powell, of the Plumville Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. Mohr, of the Rural Valley Presbyterian church.

Interment was made in the Rural Valley cemetery.
