Generation 4. Children of William Totten Meigs Aitkin (?).

These two little folks are probably children of Meigs Aitkin. The photographer's mark is "Geo. K. Gilchrist, Photographer, Cedar Falls, Iowa," the same person who took pictures of Meigs and his infant son, Meigs Wainwright Aitkin. Meigs is the only family member I know of who lived in or near Cedar Falls.

A very faint mark on the back reads "taken [illegible - either March or May] 1880." The 1880 census lists two children in Meigs's family - Violetta, age 3, and Anna, age 2.
