Generation 2. John Cassidy Stewart (1836-1902).

John was the husband of Mary Craig Totten. Their children were George Leon and Emma Blanche Stewart.

He served in the Civil War on the Union side as a private in Company M of the Fifth Artillary, 204th Regiment. After the war, he farmed and taught school.
