The house as it appeared in 1914.
The family of G.L. Stewart and Laura (Ambrose) Stewart is posed on the steps. Note that there are two chimneys in this picture. When the house was built, it may have had seven chimneys to serve all the wood burning fireplaces that kept it warm. Most of the fireplaces and chimneys were removed over the years.
