The front of the house, after repointing (2003).
The masonry has been cleaned and the brickwork, foundation and chimney have been pointed up. After cleaning, the massive stone steps leading to the porch have changed from a dull gray to a light tan. Some of the historically incorrect awnings have been taken down. Note the new masonry chimney cap. And the overgrown trees and bushes have been removed, too.
