Daughter of Benjamin and Adella (Pettigrew) Ambrose; granddaughter of Joseph Ritner and Margaret (Doughtery) Ambrose. This is an undated postcard.

Helen Cordelia was probably named for her grandmother, Cordelia (McCurdy) Pettigrew. She was called Cordelia by the family. She married Ralph Chappell and lived with him and their daughter Jane in Lorain, Ohio. Cordelia is buried in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Lorain.
