He was in the Morgan Party on the ‘Ocean’ , the same ship as John and Sarah so they may have struck up a friendship on board and the Howard-Morgan land plots were contiguous on the map. James Thomas married Sarah Cadle, widow, in 1824. They had 2 children (ingreasing Sarah's a total number of 13 children in 1824. She had 8 living children to care for, Mary Moore having died 1823, William, John, Elizabeth, Henry, Henrietta and George Cadle; John and Ann Thomas) (plus Harriet Thomas her step daughter ) and not including Sarah Georgiana and John Collin Moore in England.
