99 To assist settlers of this area the proprieters gave settlers use & occupation of a building while building their own homes. John is believed to have lived there while he built a house on the land purchased from Mr. Tyng. It was constructed of pine logs, hewn with dovetailed corners. It had a ditch & pallisades around it with a draw-bridge that was drawn up by night. It stood for about 80 years before being taken down.
