Britton
This line of Brittons begins with James Britton SR. So far, my records show that he was born between 1767 and 1775 in Georgia. Land records suggest that James' name may have also been spelled Brittain. Various of the family are currently attempting to find out more about James' parents. So far as I know, we haven't found this records yet. This James Britton SR is our personal American Revolutionary War Hero. Our James Britton SR married Frances Pound (also spelled Pounds). This would be welcomed. For instance, there is suspicion that Elizabeth Britton may not be the daughter of James and Frances Britton. Also there is a hint that Newman Britton may actually be the son of James and Frances Britton's son William, rather than Newman actually being the son of James and Frances Britton. There may also be other children which we don't know about for sure. Therefore, please take the James Britton Descendancy with a grain of salt. We still need to correct and prove some of it.
