The location of this party in the picture is unknown, but using your imagination, you can image this would be how Dormer's  Park would have looked like the 1800's.  The park was located across the street from Dormer's Hotel, this grove was rented out to groups for picnics, concerts, dances and other entertainment.  This picture was found in a collection of Saint Clair pictures.  The land where the park was located was sold to the Immaculate Conception Church which stands there now.

2006 brought changes to one old bar in Saint Clair.  The former Whitey's Grill was torn own.
