| Henry arrived in the port of New York on June 30, 1834 on the Brig Princess Royal which departed from London. Others on board that same Ship were his future bride Caroline Pike, her sisters Eleanor, Mary Jane and Louisa, brother Samuel, nephew George Pike and parents George and Jane Pike.121 Henry resided in NY rest of his Life with the possible exception of a couple years when he and his sons may have gone to Michigan after the death of his wife Caroline.124 Henry and his family lived in Clarendon in 1840.141 In 1853, Henry bought 50+ acres on Rock St.(Currently known as E. Lee Rd) in Barre, from Dan H.Rice for eight hundred and sixty dollars, with an agreement to split 50/50 "the fruit of all grafted apples that may grow on said premises the next season"142 In 1867 Henry bought land across the road where a "pages patent" lime kiln was built. Henry and at least two sons, William143 and Samuel, operated the lime kiln from the late 1860's until 1882 when he was seventy-four years old. He then sold it to the Staines family in 1882144who operated it until 1905.145 The value of Henry's real estate was $1200 in 1860 and his personal estate was also valued at $1200 dollars.140The value of Henry's real estate was two thousand dollars in 1870 and his personal estate was valued at four hundred dollars.109 Henry's Estate was valued at $2000 at the time of his death in 1885. 146 |

| Henry was a member of the East Barre Cemetery Association. The Meeting minutes state that Henry payed $5 at a meeting to benefit the cemetery where his first wife and his grandchildren were buried and where he would ultimately be buried as well.147 |
| Will |
| Henry left a will written Dec 1, 1874 which was recorded on November 23, 1885 in the Orleans county records. His wife, Sarah,received all the furniture and $1000 cash. The remainder of his estate, real and personal, was willed to his five children to share and share alike. Henry's Estate was valued at $2000 at the time of his death and the executor of the will was Thomas F Staines146 |
