Misc. Notes

The 1881 census of Canada shows "Manda BROOKS" as the two year old daughter of Joseph and Victoria Benham. This seems to indicate that Amanda was Victoria's daughter prior to her marriage to Joseph Benham and creates a mystery as to who Amanda's actual father really was. Amanda Brooks was also listed as two years old on the 1881 census and living with Chancy and Jane Brooks (her Grandparents)⁴⁰Amanda used the surname Brooks at the time of her marriage to Andrew Moore (Refer Brose Data). The only known use of the surname Benham was on the cemetery listing after her death.⁴¹
