At our monthly Meeting held at Cape May for Cape May and Egg Harbour this lst
day of the 6th month 1743. At this meeting appeared the committee
appointed by the Quarterly Meeting and Several other Friends that came with
them in the case Relating to Thomas Newport and solidly considered the matter
and it is the sense and judgment of this meeting that he ought to be Publicly
Declared against and also his practices in setting up meetings Contrary to the
rules and orders and that Friends have no Unity with him nor his practice that
he is now in. At Meeting a paper was drawn up to be read at next first day
meeting at Cape May and next first day at Millisent Townsends and Joseph Mapes
