and state aforesaid for divers good causes and considerations ~~ hereunto moving do by these presents give and bequeath to Solomon W. Nancy M. Martha E. Sarah A. John A. & Andrew J. children of James Nichols of the county of Habersham and State aforesiad, one certain Negro girl by the name of Mary about seven years old. The right and title to said negro girl Thereby warrant and foreever defend from myself my heirs and assigns unto them the above named children their heirs and assigns forever in fee simple, In testimony whereof have hereunto set my hand &

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Know all men by these presents that I Solomon W Nichols of the County and State aforesaid hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by William P. Nichols of the same place at and before the sealing and delivery of the presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged granted gargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William P Nichols his heirs and assigns one Sixth part or portion of a certain negro girl of dark complexion by the name of Mary about fifteen years of age and her increase. The one sixth part and the increase thereof To and of the said negro girl Mary and the said increase, unto the said William P Nichols his heirs and assigns. I the said Solomon W. Nichols for myself my heirs executors and administrators will and do by virtue of these presents warrantand forever defend the right and title thereof against the claim of all persons whatsoever - and I do further warrant the said negro girlMary to be sound and healthy gboth in mind and body and to be a Slave for life In witness whereof I the said Solomon W. Nichols have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty eight day of December Eighteen hundred and fifty two.
