Many of these
stones are NOT listed in the cemetery books.-Teresa I recieved the following from Wanda Sory: When I visited the Cemetery two years ago there were a couple of men cleaning it up (this was winter two years ago). They told us that the graves outside the main fence of the cemetery was those of slaves. I don't know what type of condition they are in because after that I broke my leg in six places and was out of commission for seven months on crutches. And I have not gotten back up there to look at it. Thought you might be interested in that. I don't know if they cleaned up that part of the cemetery or now or if they took the fence down and made it one complete cemetery. I wasn't even sure if it was in any condition for you to know that there were graves outside the main cemetery. Wanda We did not see these graves when we photographed, so they may have removed the fence and this was the stones we saw in the very back that were marked stay out.-Teresa
