General Notes: Husband - Andreas Killian

Notes for ANDREAS KILLIAN: English given name Andrew. Andreas's parentage is unproven. Some believe it is Johannes Phillipp Wolfgang Kilian bor n 1 May 1654, but research indicates this is probably not true. I have included him in my da tabase but disconnected to Andreas. Some have death in Lincoln Co., NC. Buried Old St. Paul Luthern Church Catawba, NC. Tombstone reads born 1702 died 14 Apr 1788. Oath of Allegiance says the passengers came from "the palatinate upon the Rhine and places ad jacent." This includes parts of Germany now in France (Alsace and Lorraine) and the German s peaking part of Switzerland. Arrived at Philadelphia, PA with 3 children on the English ship 'Adventure' 4 Oct 1732. Signe d oath of allegiance to colonial government 23 Sep 1732. Difference must be due to 11 day dif ference in Julian vs Gregorian calendars? England and colonies were on Julian, Germany Gregor ian in 1732. Passenger list says he was 30 which gives birth year 1701 or 1702. Settled on the south side of the Catawba river in NC in 1749. 1749 Apr 13 Colonial Council held at New Bern granted 1000 acres in Anson County, NC on Sout h side of Catawba river to Andrew Killian as well as Leonard and John. 1754 received additional grant of 152 acres on Killian's creek and moved across Catawba rive r to Rowan county due to Cherokee uprising. 1764 Andrew and wife, Mary, sold 1,152 acres on Killian's creek to John Ramsey. Recorded in M eckenburg County, NC records(Mecklenburg was formed from Anson in 1763 and extended across th e Catawba river into what became Tryon County in 1769 and eventually Lincoln County in 1778). 1766 Andrew Killian bought 293 acres on Clark's creek near Newton in Catawba County from Math ias Beaver according to Rowan County, NC records. 1785 Sep 22 Will was signed in Lincolnton, NC. 1788 Will was probated. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/a/l/l/Elizabeth-A-Allman/GENE5-0001.html

General Notes: Husband - William Lawing, Sr.

I question the alledged death year of William LEWING/LAWING with the following evidence...
Warren Co.,TN. Deed Book C,pages 266,267 & 267,268.
Both Deeds are dated 30 MAY 1812, but the first one was registered on 04 DEC. 1819 and the second one was registered on 07 DEC. 1819.
In the second one William deeded his Plantation in Warren(now Cannon)Co.,TN. to his son Samuel.
Fact One: Both Deeds dated 1812 were not recorded untill 1819.
Fact Two: William is listed on the 1812 Warren Co.,TN. Tax List.
Fact Three: Samuel LAWING has no male living in his home older than himself on the 1820 Census.
Fact Four: No other record in Warren Co.,TN. exists to show William LEWING/LAWING as still living after the two(2) 1812 Deeds were recorded in 1819.
Conclusion: That William LEWING/LAWING had died in c1819 and therefore if he was indeed 100 years of age at his death would have been born c1719.

Based on the 1790 & 1800 Mecklenburg Co.,N.C. Census' for William LEWING/LAWING(c1719-c1819) and Marriage records, Land Deeds, Deeds, Court records, Etc. show the likelyhood of the following children and their aproximate birth order...

General Notes: Husband - David Killough I

Some records indicate his birthplace as County Down, Ireland while others list it as Worcester, Massachusetts. His arrival port to United States in Pennslyvania is believed to be either Port Deposit or Donegal. He was a farmer. He received a land grant in Lancaster Co., PA from the King of England on April 20, 1735. On March 4, 1744 the Land Office of the Provence issued a deed to David Killough and 3 other men for the use of a tract of land for the Presbyterian congregation of Big Spring in Newville, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania. In 1752 he owned land and lived in what is now Frederick Co., Maryland. He sold his his interest in the family farm in Cumberland Co. in 1756 and settled along the Cecil Co., Maryland and Cumberland Co., Pennslyvania border. The deed, dated January 21, 1760, is still in existence for the land in Little Britain Township (now Fulton Township), Lancaster Co., Pennslyvania.
