1The Morning Call Newspaper, obit for Ralph Heft, December 9, 1996 . "Ralph E. Heft, 79, of 3162 Church St., Springtown, died Sunday, Dec. 8, at home. He was the husband of Marian B. (Dimmig) Heft. They were married 50 years in June. He was a rubber engineer for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., formerly in Pottstown, for 34 years until retiring in 1979. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Sheridan and Anna (Courtney) Heft. He was a member and former council member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Springtown. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Heft was a member of Quakertown Moose Lodge; Springtown Volunteer Fire Company; Silver Creek Athletic Association, Springtown; Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown, and Emmaus Owls. Survivors: Wife; son, Ralph E. Jr. of Quakertown; daughter, Karen J., wife of Bernard J. Gallagher of Emmaus; sister, Marguerite Chevalier of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. Contributions: Grand View Hospice, Sellersville.".
