Peverel
From Burkes General Armory page 797

Lineage of Hugh Peverel lines in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset
and Somerset.

Peverell (Sir Hugh Peverell and James Peverell, his son. County
Cornwall, temp. Edward II quartered by Flamank, of Buscave co. Cornwall.
Visit cornwall 1620).

Az. three garbs Ar., a chief or.

Peverel of Worcester County has kept the (banned by King Henry II)
Dexter bend. The medieval display in the Temple Church in London
listed a Bend Peverel. Another without date and county has a bend.
Lots of crosses and chiefs, lions from the Conqueror.

All listed in Burk's have been so affiliated with marriages that
you have to look for the main threads joining them to Peverel.
The common denominators so to speak.

By the time we got to 1600 with our Sir John Peverel
we had embellished back up from Hugh Peverel's shield to include
the banned Dexter Bend. We had differentiated by adding
the 12 annulets (merits won by most likely a General at the time
of King Henry VIII who awarded us the Gules Rampant Lion
for a crest because our General was victorious over the Spaniards
in the low countries).

We also went back to the original crosses of Ingelrica
prior to the Herb switch after the confiscation.
We kept the Sir Hugh Peverell field of AZ (blue) changed
three wheat shocks called sheaves or garbs back into three golden
crosses, kept the chief but changed it to AR (silver)
as our crosses are in gold. Still preserving the rule that
only direct descent from the Holy Land Kings can put gold
upon silver or silver upon gold.

Because there are no dates on the early ones and they have
the mention of the bend we can assume that when King Henry II
took the Honour of Peverel and gave the arms away with it,
that we had to drop the Dexter Bend part and alter the arms
to proceed with the details we had left. Therefore we have
Sir Hugh Peverel with a missing Dexter Bend. While we have Chester
given the Dexter bend and Fulk Fitz Guarine's progeny using it after
Fulk retrieved the Honour of Peverel and renamed it the
Honour of Guarine. He figured he also took back the dexter bend.

You can see by the Peverel shield of Sir John Peverel-Peverly
in 1600 using the crosses and the banned Dexter Bend but putting
them on Sir Hugh Peverels shield.

This can only be concluded thusly:
After King Henry II, the line is dropping the Bend and the
the Conquerors Lion in compliance. Therefore this line of
Sir Hugh Peverel has to back into William Peverel not Randolph
Peverel. We attest to that by the pedigree of Sir Hugh Peverel
backing into William Peverel the Younger.

The Bend is missing from Peverel but comes up on Chester and
Fitz Warine. Scrope, a cousin, also trys to use it. We think
Odonna Lupis Avranches gave her and William Peverel The Younger's
son her Chester Shield when the Peverel arms were stolen by the King.

We later are reusing the banned Dexter bend
by Sir John Peverel-Peverly, in the times of 1600
indicating that we are the 'Proud Peverels of The Peak'

It is obvious that William Peverel the younger had a Dexter Bend
arms stolden by King Henry II.

We have Randolph's bloodlines because he is a cousin of Ingelrica
and we have her blood. We do not descend from Randolph.
We descend through William Peverel, son of the Conqueror.
