BELL, CATHERINE (P) b. around mid-1750's m. James Faris
probably from Greene Co., PA
married 2nd David Shelby. She died in New Madrid, Missouri.
BENT/BELT/BROADBELT (M) family first seen late 1700-early 1800 in Prince William/Fauquier County, VA. Migrated to Lewis Co, WV and Wirt County, WV. I'm trying to prove Captain James Broadbelts relationship to Dulaney Belt.
BRAMHAM (M) family first seen in the early 1700's in Louisa County, VA.
BRANNON, Pinkard (M) changed his name to Brannon from Pinkard Bramham and Pinkard Napper, when he migrated 1850's with his wife, Eliza Gibson from Louisa Co., VA to Gilmer/Doddridge Counties, WV.
BURKE and/or ISNER (P) Nancy "Polly" Burke Isner b. 1814 Hampshire Co., d. April 27, 1882, Barbour Co., WV. Cannot find her family.
CADE (P) family might have gone back and forth between Gallia Co., Ohio, and Wood Co., WV. Earliest date proved is mid-1850s.
CROSTON (P) family was first seen in 1770's Alexandria, VA. Next seen in Hampshire County,VA; then migrated to Barbour Co., WV.
DALTON/DORTON/DOLTON (P) family. Before 1750 (Ann Dolton from England) (Records of Henry Dorton, her son, first seen in 1750 in Prince George, Maryland) Later migrated to Monongalia Co., WV. Some Daltons later migrated to Barbour Co., WV.
DAVIS family (M) - First seen early-mid 1700's in Loudoun Co., VA. Rachael was either b. in Loudoun Co. VA or Cardigan, Wales; Rachael Davis, wife of Thomas Pritchard, Sr. (M)
DYE (P) family earliest date proved is 1800, but are possibly in the 1700s in (W)VA or VA. Migrated to Vinton Co., Ohio.
EMRICK (P) family came from Germany in the 1700's, settled in Berks Co. Pennsylvania before migrating to Harrison Co.,WV and other nearby counties. Emmerich family traced to 1613.
FARIS (P) of Scotland descent, family first seen in 1800 in York Co., PA before migrating to Harrison Co., WV. James Faris d. Bet. 1774-1783 killed by Indians in Wheeling, (West) VA
FITTRO (P) family first seen in 1800 in York Co.,PA before migrating to Harrison Co., WV.
FORRER (P) (Forrey) family. 1700 (possibly before) Stouchsburg, Pennsylvania. Lutheran.

GARRISON (M) family first seen in Albemarle County, VA mid-1700's. Later migrated to Rockingham Co., WV; then; Ritchie County, WV, and other states - some closely related Ritchie Co., WV. Garrison's are in Troy, Montana.
GIBSON (M) family first seen in Louisa Co., VA, maybe before 1700, and may have come from South Carolina. Eliza Gibson went to Gilmer/Doddridge Co., WV with Pinkard Brannon.
GOLDEN (M) family, William Golden b. 1760 Scotland. Vincent,
his son, b. Fauquier Co., VA. Vincent's daughter Hester m.
Delaney Belt. James Bent is grandson of Vincent Golden. They
migrated to Lewis Co., WV.
GREASER (M) (Grieze/Grey) (M) family came from Germany in 1840's and settled in Cumberland, MD before settling in Preston Co., WV; My Greaser ancestor changed her name to GREY.
HOFF/HUFF (P) migrated from York Co.,PA before migrating to Harrison County, WV. John Hoff was called from his native land to a professor's chair in the Oxford University, in England; and members of this family migrated to America in Colonial days, and settled at York, Pennsylvania, and in Meigs county, Ohio. John Hoff from York settled in Harrison & Ritchie Co., WV.
HINKLE (M) (Henckel/Henckle/Henkle/Henkel) German family
traced to 1500. Settled in Philadelphia Co. late 1600-early 1700
before later settling in Pendleton Co., WV. The Henckel genealogy, 1500-1960 : ancestry

pioneer Evangelical Lutheran minister, emigrant from the German

LANTZ (M)- First seen early 1700's in New Jersey.
MITCHELL (M) family. John William Mitchell came from England 1780's, settled in Pendleton Co., later Lewis, County, WV.

MOODY/MOUDY (M) family (English) 1740's, Robert first seen in Paterson, New Jersey, Explorer of Ohio River country and Monongalia River Territory in 1760-1769. Migrated to Preston Co., then Lewis Co., WV.
MUSE (M) family owns and operates the oldest continuous working farm in America. Property was part of George Washington's birthplace. Ancestor of Thomas Pritchard of Jamestown.
NAPPER (M) family was first seen mid-1700's in Louisa County, VA County, VA; some later migrated to Gallia & Vinton Co., Ohio. (See Brannon, Pinkard above.) (Cannot find parents of Mary Adams Napper, could be 'nee' Adams or a married name: Adams. )

PRITCHARD, WARNER (PATERNAL) family, in early 1800's was first seen on census' in Maryland, but traveled back and forth in Taylor and Monongalia County, WV.
PRITCHARD, THOMAS, (MATERNAL-not related to Emrick-Paternal family.)
Arrived Jamestown 1620 probably from England; member of the
Virginia Company and House of Burgess. Last settled in Ritchie
County, West Virginia.

1739 Ireland d. 1799 Pennsylvania, married Martha

family settled mostly in Harrison County, West Virginia.
RUSSELL, ELEANOR (P) b. Abt. 1760, probably Prince Georges Co., Maryland, parents unknown, married Henry Dorton
SCHNEIDER (P) family. Have not found parents for Mary Elizabeth Schneider born possibly c1780. She could have been born in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., Pennsylvania or Harrison Co., WV.
SHEPHERD (M) family first seen in mid-1700's in Louisa County, VA. There are many Thomas' in Hanover Co., VA.
STRALEY (M) family came from Germany in 1742, settled in Pendleton County, later Lewis County, WV. (Christian Straley).
TETER (M) family (Dieter) came from Germany in Bet. 1700-1730, settled in Lancaster, PA, then in Pendleton County,(W)VA.

THOMSON (M) family first seen in mid-1700's in Louisa County, VA. There are many Thomson's in Hanover Co., VA.
TURNER (M) family first seen early 1700's in Louisa Co., VA. Cannot trace them before or after. (Sarah Turner married previously to Pierre Lemay, a Frenchman.)
WANSTREET (M) family came from Germany in the 1840's and settled in Cumberland, MD before settling in Preston Co., WV, then in Gilmer/Doddridge Co.'s, WV. (John Henry Wanstreet).
WISEMAN (P) family. Cannot find information on D.F. and Amanda Wiseman, parents of Laverne Wiseman b. 1873, Harrison Co., WV.
