Below are pictures of Thomas "Sherman" Garrison, his two boys, Roscoe and Romeo
and Roscoe's store in Bonner's Ferry, Idaho in 1940.
Sherman's family left Rockingham County and moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. They had to leave because of the cattle wars. They moved to Bonner's Ferry, Idaho and Troy, Montana, where the descendants of Roscoe Garrison still live today. My mother's brother, Bus Brannon, went to live in Troy, Montana after WWII and lived many years near them as a family.

The children of Thomas Sherman Garrison and Mary Dora Adams are my first-cousins, twice-removed.

Icie Garrison was Post-Mistress at Yaak, Montana for around 40 years.
Romeo was 6'4. He and Druzilla were divorced in Montana. He moved near Auburn, Ritchie, WV and married again. I have heard he is buried in the Auburn Community Cemetery, but his grave is not mentioned in cemetery documents.
Roscoe and Bus Brannon, my mother's brother, were good friends. I believe they did a lot of fishing, hunting and trapping together.

Roscoe Garrison

I met Roscoe only once. He and my Uncle Bus Brannon came to visit in Belpre, Ohio, where Bus' mother, Josephine, (my grandmother) lived, when they came from Montana to pick up a new car in Detroit, Michigan, to drive back to Montana. Roscoe and my Uncle Bus were high spirited.

Garrison's Store in Bonner's Ferry, Idaho probably during WWII
owned by Roscoe Garrison

I was in Bonner's Ferry in the 1980's and to me, it seemed a frontier then.
Glenn Garrison said this was a properous business.
