The seventh child of Jeremiah and Nancy Griffin Sweaney was born in 1831 in TN. He is listed in the 1850 census with his family at age 19. We have found no further record of him. Perhaps he is one of the men who went to California. He does not appear on any further records in Dallas Co., MO. The "F" in his name could be Franklin and this would make him the (Buck) Sweaney who went to California with Levi Woodson. Buck died in 1865 of a heart attack and was buried in a small cemetery at Fiddletown, Amador Co., CA.
