Note: Carroll County borders Alabama, both Randolph County and Cleburne County.
We are only familiar with the Wm E. and Samuel H. who moved to Randolph County and
later to Louisiana. This appears to be a family living there who moved away as they
are not found in the 1860 and 1870 censuses of Carroll County. The name Rhoda Ann
is a most unusual name in the McClung family. We note that there was a Rhody McClung
who appears to be a widow later in Alabama. Perhaps there is some connection
with this Rhoda McClung Roberts.
For comparison purposes, here's the index records I copied from the book which was in
Clayton Genealogy Library in Houston, TX. (Robert Norris)
