There were a number of Caldwells who moved into Missouri before 1850 who were not related to the families assoiated with the Franklin County group. We are referencing them here so that they can be sorted out from our primary search. We will list them alphabetically by head of household as we learn of them.

Archibald Caldwell, 1842 St. Charles probate names Lucinda A, Sarah A, & William. 1826 in County.

Elverton Caldwell was in Cooper Co. in 1830 and Morgan County in 1840.

Robert: New Madrid 1800 from Kaskaskia, 1804 heirs got 400 acres St. Clair Co. IL

Samuel Caldwell born in 1790s was in Boone Co., MO in 1840 with Thomas b.1810-20 (son?)

Samuel H. Caldwell md to Barbary Briggs 31 Aug 1830 in Ralls Co., MO.

Thomas Caldwell born 1819 in KY in 1870 Calloway Co., MO; is son of Robert and had son Robert. (incl 17) See below.
