Elizabeth Kennedy, born 2 Aug 1766 and died 16 May 1805 married William Caldwell 15 Aug 1786 in Lincoln County, KY. Elizabeth was daughter of John Kennedy, born 1733 in England or Scotland He died 1813 Giles County, TN. He was married to Elizabeth King, (BD unknown). She died after 1783. They were married about 1752 in VA or NC.

CHILDREN OF JOHN AND ELIZABETH KING CALDWELL:

1. John,Jr, 1753 -1780, was killed at Cumberland Gap going to NC to lead settlers to Boonsboro. John,Jr had a daughter born after he was killed. She was a great grandmother of ADM Richmond Kelly Turner of WW II fame.

2. Margaret, 1755 - after 1857 married Thomas Faulkner. Both buried in Garrard County.

3. Thomas, 1757 - 1836 + (1)Agnes Ross, (2)Edna Withers, (3) Elizabeth Miller. Thomas was a large landholder near Paint Lick, Garrard County. He was a General in the Militia, and was a State senator.

4. Andrew, 1764 - 1825 + Agnes McCreary. Andrew was also a General in the Militia.
5. Elizabeth 6. David, 1769 - 1850 + Jane Cox, both buried in Garrard County.
7. Mary. 1771 - 1854 + Robert Gordon in 1791 Madison County. They both died in TN.
8. Joseph, 1760 - 1844, + Martha Perrin 1788 Lincoln County.
9. Washington, 1779 - 1832, + Elizabeth Bedford.
10. Jane, 1775 - 1775.

The David Vincent Kennedy that had a mill and general store at McKinney was not in direct line of these Kennedy’s, but was connected via Margaret Kennedy + Thomas Faulkner, daughter Margaret married David Kennedy, son of James and Unknown Kennedy. Their son David, Jr married Celia Pointer 1851 in Garrard County, and are the parents of David Vincent Kennedy, who married Mary Elizabeth Mattingly 25 Nov 1875 Lincoln County.
