In the name of God, Amen. I Jean Ballenger of Monroe County and State of Virginia, caling to mind the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death and being of a sound and Disposing mind do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament this 15 day of October eighteen hundred and four to be Disposed of in the following manner to wit-- In the first place it is my will and desire that all my moveable property to be equally Devided between my two Daughters Elizabeth and Susana, except for a Cow to each of my Sons George and Isaac which they are to have their Chare out of my Stock -- Secondly it is my Absolute will that my tract of land which lies joining the land on which I now live Containing 500 acres more or less to be equally Devided between my three sons Henry George and Isaac according to quantity and quality -- Thirdly whereas I have in my opinion given to my two Daughters Jane and Florence that is their equal parts alredy it is my will that each of _?_ have one Dollar out of my moveabale estate as their full parts of my estate.

It is my sincear will that if any Dispute should arise between any of these my Children conserning this my will that they shall not go to law but shall leave it to three honest Disintrested men and if any of them shall refuse to have the Dispute Settled in the above manner, it is my posative will that they shall be Deprived of the part contended for --

Having made this my will with meture Deliberation it is my will and desier that it shall be understood accordin to the plain litral meaning of it any law to the contrary.--

Off the money should be got which is coming from James Byrnside, it is my will that it be equally Devided amongst all my children allowing the person pay for his trubble that looks after it. The property that I allowed to my two Daughters Elizabeth and Susanah to be Divided by two Disintrested persons without appraisment or sale -

Sealed Signed and pronounced as the last will and Testament of the said Jane Balenger in the presents of us the Day and year above written.

At a Court held for Monroe County the 19th day of February 1805 This last Will and Testament of Jane Ballenger Dec'd was produced in Court by Henry Ballenger and James Graham, Jur. and proved by the oaths of James Graham and Samuel Graham witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.

And on motion of the said Henry Ballenger and James Graham Jur. they having made oath according to law certificate is granted them for obtaining letters of Administration of the Estate of the said Jane Ballenger, dec'd. with her said Will annexed on their giving Bond with Security whereupon they together with David Graham and Henry McDaniel their Securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the sum of $800.00 Conditioned as the law Directs.
