I Ive Bellangee of Little Egg Harbor in the County of Burlingaton and province of west Jersey being sich and weak of body but of sound mine and perfect memory profess to God to make this my last will and testament Making all other wills and testaments by me made.
I give and Bequeath to my loving wife Christian Bellange all my movable affects.
I give unto my two first sons, Ive and James my new dwelling house and all my land to be equally divided between them but Ive must have the first choiss when he shall . . . to perfect age and if either of them should die before they come to age, it is to him that survives and they or he that lives to inherit this my house and lands shall pay such legasys as falls . . .
To my three daughters namly Elizabeth and Mishell and Susannah they shall pay to each of them six pounds currant mony of this province when they shall come to perfect age.
To my three younger sons namely Nicholas and Joshua and Isaac they shall pay to each other six pounds apeess in currant mony of this province when they shall come to perfect age. And it is my will that the child which my wife is not big withall shall come to perfect age.
And it is my will that my wife shall keep . . . this my plantation that is to say my dwelling house and lands and all the profitt of it during her widowhood and then to return to my first sons it is my will that my loving wife shall be my sole executrix of this my last will and testament . . .
It my will is that my three youngest sons namly Nicholas and Joshua and Isaac shall be put to apprintiship to such trades as may seem meet and convenient to my wife.
And this owns to be my last will and testament as wittness my hand and seel this second day of the tenth month 1719.
This will was transcribed from a photostatic copy of the original will. The original was so old that the ink had faded and the copy was not good. Some words cannot be deciphered because they were so dim. The author tried to copy the text with the same spelling as it appeared in the will.
