My brick wall in Sussex:

MARY GOODSELL born c1809 in Ewhurst Sussex

Mary was the second wife of George GILL of Beckley (a widower).
The baptism of their daughter Mary Ann GILL in the records of the Methodist Connexion Sandhurst Circuit (Sussex), on 4th October 1835, states that Mary Ann was the daughter of George GILL and Mary, his wife, who was the daughter of William and Mary GOODSHALL.

Mary shows on all of the census records as being born c1809 in Ewhurst Sussex.

The baptism does not appear in the parish records for Ewhurst, Beckley, Brede or Northiam.
The only likely parents appear to be William Goodsell and Mary Paine who married in Brede.
