(This is a short history of the HALL family home, located in Wake Co., N.C. It is not known who wrote it, but it comes from the files of Hubert B. ROCHELLE.)
The school house on Cheek Road near Junction is an old HALL property. I have been to Millie HALL'S old home (cabin) before the war. Alvin ROCHELLE'S home was directly across the road from the school. My Grand father was Fendell the son of Alvin (ROCHELLE?). He inherited the 27 acres that the school now stands on. My father Dennis received it from Fendell and sold it soon after the war. I didn't know he had sold it until after his death. Millie HALL was my great, great, great grandmother. Across the railroad tracks there is a Primitive Baptist Church with a grave yeard behind it. There are many FINDLE'S buried there. I believe my grand father was named after them with a variation in spelling. This was probably casued by them not being too well educated and they used phonetics.
