Some of the Stroud Tanner's outside Shakespeare's cottage at Stratford-on-Avon, c.1925.  Family excursions were often made to interesting places.  In this picture are (l. to r.) Arthur Smith, Amy Smith, Annie Tanner, Jeannie Tanner, Kath Powell(?), Beatrice and Charles Tanner(?).  In front, Barbara Smith and Kathleen Tanner.  The photographer was probably Thomas ('Tet') Tanner.

My father (Jack Tanner) wrote on  the back, "The ship  on which I together with about 50 other boys sailed  from Melbourne to Plymouth  November 1915."

On the back is written, "Dear Jack this is the Pleasure Steamers that take us down the Bristol Channel for a trip. Nell."  My father wrote under this, "Cousin Nell Tanner."

Maggie was the daughter of John Tanner of Stroud, GLS.  The people in the photo are not identified.
