"Great Aunt Jeannie's Post Card Album"

Transcribed, and comments [in this font and colour] added, by Robert John Tanner, March, 2000.
More comments courtesy of my second cousin twice removed, Tom Tanner, of Derby, U.K., added April, 2000.

"Great Aunt Jeannie" was Louisa Jane Tanner, nee Burford (1858-1940).

This is a picture postcard album with 104 postcards in it, along with 17 loose cards and 2 old Christmas cards (1923). It bears the inscription inside the front cover -

To Jack & Dollie  [John Vincent Tanner & Dorothy Tanner, nee Allanby, my parents.]
with love and Season's wishes
from Aunt Jeannie
Xmas & New Year 1935
Also in top left corner in pencil - J/O 1/9  [The seller's code for wholesale price and the selling price.]

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DOWNLOAD ANY IMAGES WHICH MAY BE USEFUL TO YOU!
Most images were originally scanned at 300dpi, but were reduced to 75dpi for quicker loading.
If you want any copy at 300dpi, please contact me.
Unfortunately, due to the original printing process which used a series of dots,
some of the images aren't very good.  Other photograpic cards appear to have come up very well.

Click HERE to see a straight forward list of the cards, then come back if you think you might be interested.

Click HERE to see the cards with more detail, including small versions of the pictures.  As there are some 120 graphics, I have made pages of about 10 pictures at a time.  Click on any picture to see a bigger copy of it.
