Michael was born in Cedartown and Doris was born in Atlanta, but they met the first time in Alabama. For the next few years they kept running into each other, but were never introduced. Michael moved back to Cedartown. Doris was working in Cedartown and engaged to Michael's best friends. (Very long engagement - over five year and still no wedding.) Michael was too bashful to ask Doris for a date, so Doris asked him. They had their first date on a Friday night, had a wreck and three weeks later they were married. Everyone said it would not last, but Doris knew that she had found the right person, when Michael was more concerned about her than his "almost new" truck. Guess she was right, they will soon be married for 30 years.
