Walter Conger Bridwell, 46 years old, World War Veteran, was found dead in the backyard at his farm home four miles east of Wichita about 4 pm Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Bridwell, who suffered from heart trouble and had not been well recently, went into the yard to work on his car. A short time later his wife found him dead. He was lyning near the rear end of the car which had its motor running.
Coroner G.C. Davis announced that Mr. Bridwell died of a heart attack with a few whiffs of exhaust gasses as a contributing cause.
Mr. Bridwell was formerly employed as a still man for the Barnsdall Refineries. he had worked for the company for 18 years, prior to last fall.
In addition to his widow, Bonnie, he is survived by three sons, Billy, Howard, and Harold: two daughters, Donna and Vaunda Lea, all at home and his mother, Mrs. Leah Rebecca Bridwell, Norman, Oklahoma.¹ He was buried at Lone Wolf Cemetery, Lone Wolf, Kiowa County, Oklahoma, USA; Mildred thinks he is buried in Wichita Kansas.¹

Ernie Jay Moberly died on 3 July 1999 at County Road, St Francis, Cheyenne, Kansas, United States, at age 12; ERnie had been driving the trucks back and forth from the wheat fields. He had driven the semi to the field and Byron took him back to the farm to get the fuel truck for the combines. Byron went on to the grainery to unload and found Ernie about 1.5 miles from the fields. He had fueled the equipment and was headed back to the farm. Apparantly he swerved to try to avoid hitting a deer and lost control. The truck rolled throwing him through the windshield breaking his neck. The steering wheel crushed his chest. Byron found him face down with his hand under his head. He said "Ernie wake up" expecting Ernie to turn over and point his finger at him and say "Gotcha Dad". There was no response. Byron tried to find a pulse and finding none turned him over. He pulled the eyelids back and knew he was gone having seen many dead calves recognizing the glazed stare. Byron called Karen and Merle and then called for the ambulance. Byron was able to sit and hold and talk to Ernie by himself for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Byron told me he was happy to be the one to find him as was better than getting a phone call that Ernie had been in a bad accident. He was buried on 6 July 1999 at St Francis Cemetary, St Francis, Cheyenne, Kansas, United States; Buried by Elmer Merle Moberly his Grandfather.
