The Daily Mail, Hagerstown, MD, March 28, 1914
William Morgret, Howard St., died suddenly last night in the yard in the rear of the Franklin House, of paralysis of the heart. He was aged about 33 years. He had been around the hotel several hours in the morning and afternoon and most of the evening. Shortly before 8 o'clock, he slipped from a chair in the lobby and was carried by several guests to the rear. Dr. F. N. Hoffmeier made an examination and pronounced the man dead. Acting Coroner Ankeney decided an inquest unnecessary. The body was taken to the undertaking establishment of C. M. Suter & Sons. ----- The Sunday paper had an additional note that a service was held by minister J. W. Ott and that the body was then shipped on the Pittsburgh Express to Bedford County PA. for burial on that same date. (Source: David Chapman, Sharpsburg, MD)

Hagerstown, Md., March 28. - William Morgret, 33 years old, of this city, was found dead last night in the yard in the rear of the Hotel Franklin. He had been around the hotel all day, and during the evening was taken ill. Going out to get fresh air, he fell over, and was found shortly afterward dead.

Walter Morgart, 33 years old, formerly employed as a conductor on the West Penn railways line, and later an engineer on the Connellsville division of the Baltimore & Ohio railroad, died suddenly last Friday at his home at Hagerstown, Md. Mr Morgart was a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Sherrick. His wife and five children survive. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, with interment at Rainsburg. Mr. Sherrick and his daughter, Mrs John Clark, attended the funeral.
