MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Arvella Ruth McNamee Ambrose, 88, of Martinsburg, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Jan. 26, 1910, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Francis Marion McNamee and Emma C. Miller McNamee Morgret.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Ambrose Sr., in 1975.
She was a 1926 graduate of Bath District High School.
She worked at Perfection Garment Co.. She later was a manager at Toll House Confectionery and H&J Market.
She had worked election polls and was a member of the Berkeley County Republican Club.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and Fidelis Sunday School Class.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean A. Zombro of Martinsburg, with whom she resided; two sons, Harold E. Ambrose Jr. of Martinsburg and Jack T. Ambrose of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, C. Abner Morgret of Rockville, Md., and Charles O. Morgret of Holmes Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 220 W. Burke St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Albert L. Clipp will officiate. Burial will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Arvella married Harold E. AMBROSE Senior. (Harold E. AMBROSE Senior died in 1975.)
