Gladys Koontz Beegle
Gladys F. Koontz Beegle, 85, of Pennknoll Village, formerly of 601 Hammer St., Bedford, died early Saturdey morning, Feb. 24, 1990 at Pennknoll Village.
She was born Feb. 21, 1905, in Colerain Township, a daughter of the late George and Anna (Filler) Morgart.
She was first married to Dennis E. Koontz, who preceded her in death May 28, 1970. She then married John C. Beegle, who died Nov. 18, 1983.
She is survived by these children: Clyde Koontz, married to the former Mildred Diehl, Bedford RD 4; Janet, wife of Warren Lohr, Ellerslie, Md.; H. Eugene Koontz, married to the former Rosemary Koozer, Bedford RD 4; N. Edward Koontz, married to the former Anna Miller, Bedford RD 5; Richard W. Koontz, married to the former Shirley Norris, Bedford RD 4; and Gary D. Koontz, married to the former Cindy Smith, Bedford RD 4; and one stepdaughter, Joan, wife of Thomas Stotesbery, of Pittsburgh.
Also surviving are a sister and brother, Janet Harclerode of Bedford RD 2 and G. Perry Morgart of Bedford RD4.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty.
Mrs. Beegle was a member of the Friends Cove United Church of the Christ and the Bedford Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services: Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with Rev. Dr. M. Edgar Datesman officiating. Burial in Friends Cove United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
