100-YEAR-OLD WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Letha Jane Cordry, a former resident, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday, died yesterday (July 30, 1963) in a Front Royal, Virginia, nursing home.
She was born in Bottle Run, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, July 28, 1863, a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Morgart) Wolford.
Her husband, William A. Cordry, who died in 1938, operated a confectionery store on Queen City Pavement. Mrs. Cordry resided on Waverly Terrace and lived here until about ten years ago when she moved to Winchester, Virginia, to reside with her daughter, Mrs. Anna Mae Maxson.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by a son, J. Homer Cordry, Bedford Road; two half-brothers, William O. Wolford, Bedford Road and Reese Wolford, Youngstown, Ohio; a half-sister, Mrs. Maude Armbruster, Bedford Road; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
