BEDFORD INQUIRER, Bedford, Pa. - Friday, March 28, 1930

MRS. GEORGE E. MORGART - After an illness but a week from pneumonia, Mrs. George E. Morgart passed away Monday evening, March 24, 1930, at her home near Rainsburg, being in her 56th year. Her death was a shock to her many friends and to her family, as her condition was believe to be improving until a very short time before the end.
Anna R. Morgart was the eldest daughter of the late Ex-County Treasurer W. B. Filler and his wife, Mary Mower Filler, and was born in Rainsburg on April 25, 1874. In early womanhood she was united in marriage with George E. Morgart and had since resided on a farm a short distance from her native town.
Six children were born to them, all of whom survive, as follow: Hazel, wife of Harmon Simmons, of Cumberland; Margaret, wife of Howard Schaeffer, and Galdys, wife of Dennis Koontz, both of the Cove; Helen, wife of Dr. Jack Beachley, of Hagerstown, Md.; Janet, wife of John Harclerode, and Perry Morgart, at home.
Also, ten grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: George S. Filler, of Paw-Paw, W. Va.; Harry K. of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Charles James, of Johnstown; Mrs. B. F. Hunt, of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Roger Williams, of Pittsburgh; Miss Grace Filler, of Ambler, and Miss Nell M. Filler, of Altoona.
Rev. M. J. Ross conducted the funeral services, which were held at the Morgart home at ten o'clock yesterday morning, and interment made in the Union cemetery in Rainsburg. Mrs. Morgart will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends and relatives, as she had many exceptional qualities which endeared her to all who learned to know her. In the home she was all that the term "loving wife and mother" can imply. Her devotion to her church, the Lutheran, was marked and she was always ready to lend her assistance. A good woman has been called to her eternal reward.

(She is the former, Anna Rebecca Filler, a daughter of William Benton and Mary (Mower) Filler. She married George Edmunston Morgart on Nov. 25, 1897, at the bride's home in Rainsburg by Rev. Hugh H. McClintic, a Lutheran minister. George was a son of Benjamin T. and Annie E. (Yeager) Morgart.)
