Born in Jackson County, N.C., he moved to central Flodida in 1994 from Greenacres City, Fla. He had been employed as a carpenter, and was a Protestant. Survivors include sons, Joseph Cooper of Longwood, Fla., and Timothy Cooper; daughter, Jean Hunter of Tallmadge; brothers, Dewey Cooper of Athens, Ga., Howell Cooper of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Carroll Cooper of Medina; sisters, Nell Chandler of Rome, Ga., and Maude Ensley of sylva, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services and intermant were held in Florida.

William married Emily Charles HALL, daughter of James Edward HALL and Jessie Lee RENFROE. (Emily Charles HALL was born on 14 Aug 1918 in Gadsden, Etowah, Alabama, United States, died on 19 Aug 1987 in Vero Beach, Indian River, Florida, United States and was buried on 22 Aug 1987 in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, St. Lucie, Florida.)
