MRS. MARGARET WHETSTONE - Mrs. Margaret Whetstone, widow of William Whetstone, died at her home near Breezwood on Sunday, March 20, 1910, at the advanced age of 83 years, 7 months and 27 days. The deceased, whose maiden name was Margaret Morgart, was born and reared in Ray's Cove. Early in life she became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Ray's Hill, remaining faithful to the end. The Words of the Psalmist are appropriately fulfilled in her long life where he says, "With long life will I satisfy thee and show thee my salvation." Her husband, William Whestone, preceded her to the Spirit World about 25 years ago; also one son, John Whetstone. she is survived by three children: Miss Sadie on the home place, Mrs. William E. Smith, of Cumberland Valley, and J. Elmer, of Everett. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the Ray's Hill Lutheran Church, conducted by her former pastor, Rev. J. W. Lingle, of Bedford. Interment in the cemtery adjoining the church.

• Obituary: MARGARET WHETSTONE, Mar 1910, Bedford, Bedford, Pennsylvania, United States. 75 Mrs. Margaret Whetstone, one of East Providence township's oldest and most respected citizens, died at the home of her grandson, Earl G. Whetstone, last Sunday, March 20, 1910, at 10 o'clock a.m. aged 93 years, 7 months, and 27 days. On Wednesday, March 9th, Mrs. Whetstone fell and fractured her hip, which, with diseases incident to old age, caused her death. She was a daughter of Philip and Margaret Hess Morgret, deceased, and was born in Ray's Cove on July 23, 1826. She was married to William Whetstone who preceeded her to the spirit world in 1875. Deceased is survived by the following children: -L. Elmer Whetstone, of Everett; Miss Sarah C. Whetstone, of East Providence township; and Margaret E., wife of William Smith, of Cumberland Valley: also by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion Lutheran church in Ray's Cove last Tuesday, conducted by Rev. J. W. Lingle, of Bedford. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
