STEUBENVILLE -- Raymond Paul Burns, 78, of Steubenville, died Feb. 10, 1992, in Presbyterian-University Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Mr. Burns retired as a quality control inspector in the Steubenville Plant tin mill department of Weirton Steel Corp. in February 1978.
He was a member and usher at St. Peter's Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mingo-Junction and the Steubenville Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Edna May Morgart, whom he married Sept. 21, 1938; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Dorothy Rae) Knox of Atlanta and Mrs. Robert (Judith) Gaynor, of Follansbee; one sister, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Burns Smuck of Steubenville; one brother, Robert of Birmingham, Ala., and four grandchildren.
He was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Steubenville, son of the late Patrick and Edith Berry Burns. He also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carole Ann; one sister; three brothers; and one grandchild.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Mosti Funeral Home; vigil service at 2 p.m. Thursday; Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Monsignor Lawrence J. Luciana; Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
