Obituary of Anna Puzniewski Wisniewski Zawaski

Mrs. Jacob Zawacki

Mrs. Anna Zawacki, aged 70 years, wife of Jacob Zawacki, of 121 1/2 Terrace avenue, died at her home Sunday evening at 7:45 o'clock following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Zawacki was born in Poland in 1881.  She lived in New Castle for the past 21 years and formerly lived in Ambridge, Pa.  The deceased waa a member of the SS. Philip and James church and the Rosary society of the church.

In addition to her husband she leaves her children: Mrs. Stanley Wojtkowski, Aliquippa, Mrs. Joseph Bishop of Indiana, Pa., Mrs. William Zagrocki of Ambridge, Pa., and Mrs. Albert Meehan of Aliquippa.

She leaves 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Frank Puzniewski, of Paterson, N. J.

Step-children surviving include:  Mrs. Frank Perkins, Mrs. John Lasky, Mrs. Alex Gierlach, Mrs. Walter Mrozek of New Castle, Mrs. Peter Malachowski of Cumberland, Md., Mrs. David Meehan of Sewickley, Pa., Frank Zawacki of Cumberland, Md.; 15 step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at nine a. m. from the Noga funeral home, South Mill at Reynolds street, with a requiem mass to follow at 9:00 o'clock in the SS. Philip and James church.  Rev. Fr. V. V. Stancelewski will officiate.  Burial will be in the Madonna cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home today, Tuesday and Wednesday, two to five and seven to 10 o'clock.
