Jefferson W. Berger

Funeral services for Jefferson W. Berger, 104 North Poplar Street, one of four brothers who lived to be 89 or more years of age, were held this afternoon in the home of the daughter, Mrs. Hattie Brown and were attended by numerous relatives and friends.  Rev. I. C. Baumbaugh, of Salem Reformed Church, substituting for Rev. E. O Butkofak of St. John Church, of which Mr. Berger was one of the oldest members, officiated at the memorial tribute.  In addition to his daughter and several grandchildren, the aged resident is survived by four great-grandchildren.  Burial was in the family plot in Shamokin Cemetery
