JOSHUA ENGLISH, tenth child of James and Elizabeth English, was born in 1810 in Tennessee. He served in the Texas army in 1835, under his brother, Captain John English, Col. Henry Elmore's Regiment. Later he was a Captain in the Confederate War. Signed for Pension, Houston County, July 2, 1872. Letters regarding pensioned signed by Dr. E. Currie.
