From West Virginia and Maryland, to Ohio.

Several children of Matthias Rizer left Morgan Co., West Virginia and moved to Highland Co. and Clinton Co., Ohio.

One of these sons was Daniel Rizer who married Mary G. Chenoweth. He died in Clinton Co. in 1858. This children included:

John R. J. Rizer married to Elizabeth Irwin

Mary E. Rizer married to David Sanders

Ann Florence Rizer married to Amos Riley Chaney

Virginia Rachel Rizer married to Edward Lee Warson

Other children of Matthias Rizer lived in Highland Co. These were brothers Joseph F. Rizer married to Mary P Stanton.

And sister Margaret Rizer married to George Ambrose

Michael Rizer, son of George Rizer and Sarah Hinkle, married Susan A. Dawson and then Elizabeth Ambrose

My direct line of Rizers left Cumberland, Allegany Co, Maryland in 1877 and settled in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. These were brothers George Springer Rizer and Benjamin Henry Rizer.

Also Jesse Rizer was born in Allegany co, Maryland. He married Sophia Miller and then a Harriott. Jesse died in Knox Co., Ohio. His son was Dr. Alfred L. Rizer who practiced in Aurora, Portage Co, Ohio. In retirement Dr. Alfred live in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio.
