These are our Fowlie's from Aberdeenshire. Our John Fowlie who was born on 10th April 1772 (2.i.) is one of two John Fowlie's born that year. We confirmed this as the correct one by comparing the two John Fowlie's ages in the censuses.

Our John Fowlie farmed Broomhill; his son John farmed Cranhill, this farm is still remembered by the older members of the family.
