Nathan Stevens "Old Nate" called himself a drover, a speculator and a Baptist in religion. In 1851 he was living in a log house and owned lots 11, 12, 13, and 14 con 9, Bastard. He bought the Clergy Reserve lot 16/8 in 1864, which went to sons Thomas and Sylvester in 1895. In 1896 Thomas gave it to sons Clifton D and Sylvester.
